Berlin - Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate
In our recommended itinerary we have kept a 2 clear days to allow you to fit in one or more of our experience enhancements. Alternatively, we can tailor make a longer stay to fit in more to your incentive:
Experience history – Accompanied by an historian visit the sites that are integral to the history of the 20th century. See the Charlottenburg Palace, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg gate, Checkpoint Charlie and the Jewish Museum in the reawakened vibrant quarter.
Schooner at sea – The Thalassa, a 50 metre, 3 masted schooner offers wonderfully exclusive options for groups of 24 or so. From a one night to private 3 day charter this gives access to a unique lifestyle.
Day at Neustadt Dosse stables – This is Germany’s most important stud farm where anyone who loves country pursuits will be enthralled. During autumn the horn summons to the ‘bloodless’ hunt… red clad riders, hundreds of hounds, horn blowers and onlookers. Follow the hunt prior to a black tie dinner at Castle Klessen or in the rustic stables at the stud farm.
Potsdam – With 12 palaces and temples in one gigantic park, Potsdam, a UNESCO world heritage site, traces 19th century German history. Beat the crowds with our privileged access to various parts not open to public. Enjoy a Michelin star picnic in an exclusive part of the park, a recital under the colonnades of the Charlottenhof, a piano concert in the marble palace, or wine tasting in the cellars of the Sanssouci. The options are endless for a truly memorable day.
Private sporting dinners – The Maifield, the Waldbuhne and the Olympic stadium all have historic connotations and incite ongoing fascination. A private event in one of these venues is unbeatable. Enjoy champagne and gourmet food as you reflect on some of the vistas that defined the history of the 20th century.
Grand dining – How about a gourmet dinner in one of the most historic venues in Berlin. The Old Mail coach office, the DNA galerie, the Munzclub and even the historic cathedral are all available to be considered as venues for that special event or dinner.
Berlin on water – Berlin has more bridges than Venice and there is no better way of seeing the city than from the water. Whatever the brief, be it a lively party, uninterrupted round of discussions or an indulgent dinner party this glorious sail past the Charlottenburg castle, Bellvue Palace, Alms quarter and world famous Museum island is the best way to spend a summer night in Berlin. There are 3 gorgeous private boats to choose from.
A Day at Castle Klessen – see our accommodation pages for your chance to experience this private castle. If however you would like to spend a day away from Berlin and see another side of the region then a host of experiences await.
Cookery course – perfect for a group of 10 or more.
Reinsburg and Brandenburg Music festivals – if traveling in summer months worth checking to see if either festival is on.
Golf – enjoy a round of golf at the magnificent Semlin course.
Hot air ballooning – from the flying school at Neuruppin.
Chill out in the palace grounds – there is a fantastic natural bathing lake with croquet, boules and badminton.
