Dubrovnik - Pearl of the Adriatic
In our recommended itinerary we have kept a clear day to allow you to fit in one or more of our experience enhancements. Alternatively, we can tailor make a longer stay to fit in more to your incentive:
Vineyard visit - The Peljesac wine region is located an hour from Dubrovnik. Visit 3 wineries, Milos, Matusko and Grgic while being accompanied by Dean Susec an expert in Croatian wines. All 3 wineries are a little different in the type of wine they produce and the way in which they produce it.
Team sailing - The sailing would be organised as a regatta with each yacht having an experienced skipper to teach the crew (guests) the basics of sailing before setting out around the local islands.
Day trip to Montenegro - The bay of Kotor in Montenegro is located just over an hour away from Dubrovnik and offers some magnificent fjord like scenery. After a visit to the town of Kotor and lunch guests have free time for
swimming in the crystal seas.
Scuba diving - Scuba diving is done off the coast of Cavtat where there are several accredited dive schools. Apart from reefs and caves there is an ancient shipwreck with over 1800 well preserved amfora’s on board and
nearby is the Italian battle ship Taranto, sunk in 1945.
Spa - The Rixos spa is by far the best in the country with many different types of massages on offer as well as various kinds of saunas, skin treatments.
Dinners in great locations – Enjoy the Nautika restaurant, set just outside the walls of Dubrovnik which has a long tradition of preparing excellent seafood and with its fantastic sea views, is considered the best restaurant in town. Alternatively we can arrange private historic buildings and beach dinners too!
Ferrari driving along the coast - The drive from Split takes about 3 hours but much less in a Ferrari! To spend a day driving this magnificent coastal road will live in the memory.
