Kenya - Big cat diary
In our recommended itinerary we have kept a space to allow you to fit in one or more of our experience enhancements. Alternatively, we can tailor make a longer stay to fit in more to your incentive:
Long term involvement – The opportunities for companies to be involved in conservation and education programmes has never been more pressing. There are so many ways of getting involved, from filming a series of Community Wildlife Documentaries that entail capturing a conservation element, participating with “living with lions” a predator project, anti poaching patrols,or helping in the development of educational videos. Additionally working with local Maasai villages sponsoring basic services or providing old computer equipment can make a huge difference and is a very visual element for any company’s social responsibility agenda. It all helps to educate, edify and empower the people, allowing for the development of integrated sustainable management of their natural resources.
Hot air balloon experience – Early morning transfer to Governors Camp for a hot air balloon safari. Thereafter, you will have a bush breakfast before transfer back to Serian camp.
The wilds of Lake Victoria – Early morning transfer to Governors Camp for Mfangano Day trip; a visit to Lake Victoria where we do some fishing or walks, have lunch then air transfer back to Serian.
Maasai Mara from the air – This flying tour is undertaken with Tropic Air BI W117 2 seat plane. The tour usually takes 1 hour and covers the Trans-Mara reserve (Mara Triangle) but could include Rusinga Island.
