Kenya - Big cat diary
Serian
Serian, meaning peaceful, calm or serene in the Maa Language of the Masai people, is the charismatic home of Alex Walker, filmmaker and guide in the Masai Mara wildlife reserve.
This wonderful bush camp of eight marquees with adjoining bush bathrooms is conveniently located in the greater Mara, the heart of Africa’s best game viewing area. Set aside is the river camp of four tented suites set on rich hardwood decks. Both provide an intimate and select character and are perfect for groups to take on an exclusive basis.
With access to 1500 km2 of beautiful wilderness which plays host to one of the greatest concentration of big cats in Africa, private vehicles and expert guides will ensure that you have the very best opportunity to see Africa close up.
To facilitate this and particularly for filming your own big cat diary there are 5 en suite tents that can be moved to where the action is and located anywhere near where the animals are. Enjoy total privacy and seclusion in the deepest wilderness which adds a particularly dramatic dimension during the migration season.
Your hosts ensure that you get to experience the real Africa and encourage guests to get involved in the wider community and conservation agenda in The Masai Mara. Real and responsible tourism at its best!
