Slovenia - Alpine adventure

In our recommended itinerary we have kept a clear day to allow you to fit in one or more of our experience enhancements. Alternatively, we can tailor make a longer stay to fit in more to your incentive:

Hot air balloon – Picture rising above the magnificence of Lake Bled at dawn with the only sound being that of the burner as it lights up the morning and lifts you higher and higher. There is no better backdrop for the first time hot air balloon experience.

Golf - Bled Golf Course first opened in 1937 is the oldest Slovenian course and one of the most beautiful in central Europe. Overlooked by the highest of the Slovenian Alps and the wonderful countryside embracing the facility comprises the 18-hole King’s Course and the 9-hole Lake Course.

Casino – Based within the Park Hotel is Slovenia’s best Casino with a range of tables and machines to cater for every taste and budget!

Spa – Bled has an abundance of Spas where treatments can be arranged for purely relaxation purposes or as a tonic after a day of skiing or rafting.

Rafting or kayaking –  Rafting on the Soca and Sava rivers is a great introduction to the exciting world of outdoor adventures in Slovenia. Provided with all the necessary equipment and an experienced guide, the experience is tailored to the level of adventure required.

Fishing – In the Soca valley with the back drop of the peaks of the Julian Alps, a place of enchanting beauty, experience the very best fly fishing on some of Europe’s most beautiful pristine and gin clear rivers. Fishing for the unique marble trout, record sized Soca grayling, and brown, brook and rainbow trout. A day away from it all!

Skiing – With Vogel and Kranjska Gora within easy reach of Lake Bled it is possible to do day trips from your base at the Lake. With slopes to accommodate all levels of skiing ability and with expert guides on hand you could even try new styles!

Caves and stallions – This full day includes two of the most famous Slovenian attractions; the enormous Postojna Caves where the river Pivka has carved the under-ground world of the caves through the centuries and Lipica Stud Farm continues a 400 year old heritage of breeding and schooling  Lipizzaner horses. Tour the stud farm and see the horses perform.

Taste of Slovenia – Starting with a stunning train ride through the mountains and river valleys to the picturesque Most na Soci, the emerald blue lake where you enjoy a cruise. After lunch move onto one of the many wine growing regions of Slovenia and the Dobrovo castle where you will view production and sample the produce! Dinner is hosted in a wonderful restaurant overlooking the wine hills before the trip back to your hotel.
