DAY 1: Fly to Istanbul and transfer to hotel.Private dinner cruise on the Bosphorus
This evening enjoy a private 4 hr cruise dinner on the Bosphorus, the waterway between Europe and Asia, passing under suspension bridges and viewing Ottoman summer palaces, waterside mansions and modern villas. Enjoy a dinner as you float between Europe and Asia as entertainment is provided by a Tzigane trio playing the accordion, violin and contrabass.
DAY 2: Hippodrome, Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, Turkish Bath. Senses dinner in darkness!
After breakfast visit the Byzantine Hippodrome where chariot races were held, the Blue Mosque one of the most beautiful mosques in the world and St. Sophia considered the epitome of Byzantine architecture. Take a calming lunch stop in an extraordinary 1600 years old Roman Cistern with massive marble columns.
After lunch visit the highlights of the Topkapi Palace the former residence of the Ottoman Sultans built in the 15th century.Finally enter the oldest and biggest Bazaar in the world with over 4000 shops and 60 alleyways -a shoppers paradise! At the end of the day pleasantly relax with a Turkish bath and massage at the stunning hamam built in 1741.
Tonight you are in for an unusual treat! Dine in complete darkness! Absent of all light, your senses go wild as you taste, smell, touch and listen to the sensations created. Before entering you will be shown what the table layout is to ensure your safety. You will then enter six at a time in a slow procession with your hands on each others shoulders.The incredibly well orchestrated service ballet only leaves its mark with faint firefly glowing strands as they wisp to serve you your five course dinner and wine. DAY 3: Sultans Boat tour, Spice Bazaar, Suleymaniye Mosque, St Savior and Whirling Dervishes.
After breakfast the Sultans Boat awaits on the Bosphorus. This traditionally decorated boat with a team of rowers wearing historical Ottoman costumes will oar you along the Golden Horn with views of the Dolmabahce Palace, the Topkapi Palace, the Galata tower and historical peninsula.
Disembark at the colourful and aromatic Spice Bazaar before continuing to the nearby Suleymaniye mosque considered one of the most important masterpieces of Ottoman architecture. After lunch in the historical complex you will be led to a private room for a private performance of the Whirling Dervishes, who will bid you farewell prior to your transfer to the airport for the flight home.
