Vienna - too hot to trot

We recommend a 2 night break to enjoy the all the fun of the ball.

Day 1

Arrive and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to select one of our enhancements.

Day 2

After breakfast you are at leisure to choose an addition to your itinerary or alternatively if you require costume hire for this evening’s ball we can arrange this for you.

You could also squeeze in a tutored ballroom dance lesson at the Elmayer school to start the fun!

This evening attend a Grand Ball in a venue like the Imperial Palace, the former residence of the Habsburg Emperor’s, where splendour and magnificence turn an event into an unforgettable occasion.The Grand staircase is the entry point where ladies are presented with a gift. In the main hall the gala dinner and dancing are held and an exhibition put on by champions from the famous Elmayer dance school.After the demonstration the evening is underway as guests enjoy a sumptuous buffet, dance and are entertained by an orchestra playing melodies from different periods. A highlight is the group Fledermaus Quadrilles, a tradition at every ball. The quadrilles are danced with couples lined up in pairs of long columns. The six quadrilles are danced to different songs from Die Fledermaus. Brace yourself for surprises in the fifth quadrille whilst the sixth quadrille is repeated several times, each time faster than the last, until people are madly dashing between each other and becoming merrily confused. You will probably be out till dawn!

Day 3

At leisure or see some of Vienna prior to transfer to the airport for flight home.
